ITALIAN DAY 2009Italian Day: Italian Day at Noosaville State School is a day of enjoying all things Italian from art, sculpture, music, soccer, bocce, food tasting, Italian language games through to pizza making. The day always begins with a colourful concert where students show case songs they have learnt throughout the year. The concert is followed by variety of fun filled rotating activities which teachers so kindly take control of and ensure the students have a good time. This year is the year of Astronomy so the Italian day concert took on a space theme. Children were transported back in time, via our “macchinetta rossa” little red car, to meet the famous Italian mathematician and astronomer, Galileo Galilei. The day ran smoothly with all students performing with gusto and participating in all activities with great enthusiasm. Italian day would not have been so successful without the teachers, parents and guests who guided the students in all activities. Signora Anna and I would like to thank all staff members, parents and guests for their enthusiasm and kindness. Last but not least we would also like to thank Mrs Jo Evans for organising the special “Italian Meal Deal” which was greatly appreciated.GrazieAnna Testa and Mirella Ceccato |
