School Shade Covers
At the beginning of the 2009 school year, we added 3 new shade structures for the oval and one to the SEU. These shade structures are a valuable addition to the school’s facilities, enabling our students to remain sunsmart during a variety of outdoor activities such as sports’ lessons. The structures on the oval are also in sporting house colours and will provide spacious locations for students of all four sports houses during athletics carnivals.
The shade structure for the SEU has been designed to allow the students to use the sensory garden and sandpit at all times of the day, while keeping out of the sun’s harmful UV light.
The Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund provided $30 140 to the Noosaville SS Parent’s and Citizen’s Association for the purchase and installation of these shade structures. In addition to this, the SEU and school provided funds to ensure the SEU shade cover was in place early in the year. The Queensland Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund is proud to have provided funding for the new shade structures. The school and P and C Association would like to acknowledge the support provided by the Community Benefit Fund.
