We are still desperately short of volunteers – particularly as our sales have soared recently. Thursday and Friday helpers would be greatly appreciated. Even if you have an hour to spare before or after reading, after dropping the kids at school, or before you pick them up in the afternoon, it would really help us to get the children’s lunch to them on time. Of course, if you are able to volunteer for a whole day, we would love to hear from you.

A. Each day there is a daily special (Monday – Hot Dog; Tuesday – Pasta; Wednesday – Pizza; Thursday – Hot Roast Roll with Beef or Chicken; Friday – Pie/Sausage Roll). These items are ONLY available on their listed day, either by themselves or as a “$5 Meal Deal”. EVERY day we have a great range of rolls, wraps and sandwiches as well as our burgers and salad bowls. Snacks, drinks & Ice Blocks are available every day.

A. It is important to include the child’s name & class. Including the teacher’s name will help us confirm the class. It is important that we know whether the order is for Morning Tea or Big Lunch. Finally, the items the child would like and any special requests.

A. No. We need a separate bag for Morning Tea and Big Lunch as the orders are put into the order bags to be sent to the classrooms.

A. No. Please don’t use any staples or sticky tape on your order bags. It slows down our processes too much to try and undo these things (particularly if the bag rips and needs to be written out again). If you are concerned about the money falling out, one parent’s great idea is to put it in a plastic ziplock bag inside the tuckshop bag.

A. If you don’t have the right change for your child/ren’s orders just put all the relevant order bags, together with the money, inside one of the bags. The main bag can then be put into one child’s tuckshop box and we will be able to process it easily. If there is any change, we try to put it into the oldest child’s bag with their lunch order.

With winter fast approaching it’s time to look at uniforms again – particularly the jackets. The Canteen will host a second hand uniform sale on Thursday 26 April between 8am and 8.45am. We have a range of second hand uniforms (jackets, shorts, culottes and shirts) available for only $2 per piece. It’s a case of first in, best dressed (literally!!) We also have a limited number of brand-new jackets available at that time. ($23.50 each). Please bring small change wherever possible. Second hand uniforms are sold on an “as-is, no refund” basis.
