Community spirit is alive in Noosaville!
On Friday 29 March, we had the pleasure of having Pre-Prep students from Tewantin Early Learning Centre join our Prep classes for Fun Day Friday.
Fun Day Fridays are focused on stimulating learning experiences which help children develop skills in problem solving, communication and socialisation necessary for school. There is also a focus on classroom learning experiences eg. writing, number, painting and construction.
Both our visiting Pre-Preps and our Prep students explored and enjoyed many activities and at the same time, Pre-Preps were developing new friendships and engaging with caring teachers Miss Bec, Miss Steph and Miss Mel in our safe, supportive prep environment.
It’s an important milestone when young children start school. Children adjusting to their
first year at school is strongly influenced by their familiarity of the school environment. At Noosaville State School, we believe that it is of vital importance to make the transition to Prep as smooth as possible ensuring all new students begin school on common ground and ready for success.
As a photographer for the school, it was a pleasure to join in the hive of excitement, the best part being the Fun Day Friday disco. I, along with others was captivated by the energy and enthusiasm of Little Miss Sassy dancing up a storm, her energy was contagious. Certainly a fun filled day to remember.
A Big thank you to Miss Bec who has worked tirelessly in the community ensuring these special transition days happen and for providing information and support to centres and families.
Also, a Big Thank you to the Tewantin Noosa RSL for providing transport for our visitors to and from our school, giving children opportunity to experience Noosaville State School Prep.
Community spirit, It’s a way of getting people together!
